Fancy Dresses on the Beach

On a day that nobody was home, we were bored of school so we decided to ditch for a photo shoot on the beach.

We borrowed some random persons stairs for some of the shots after we discovered that the pier where we initially wanted to take pictures was occupied by a girl (who seemed to be under there purely for the shade so that she could use her phone).  The stairs worked out nicely though.

It was fun going down by the water for some of the pictures.  It was a little windy so our hair kind of went wild and it was sometimes difficult to not get a backlit picture but quite a few of them turned out!

Jumping around in dresses is more fun then you'd think.

So is spinning.

When we finished at the beach, we decided to take the ten minute walk across the island to the inter-coastal waterway.  On the way we noticed a porch swing below someone's house so we decided to use it in our shoot.  We encountered a lot of prickly pears (little demon cacti that stick in your feet and cause lots of pain) they tried to deter us from our goal but we soldiered through.

There wasn't much to do in the way of poses at the inter-coastal waterway so we just threw water (how weird).

On the way off the beach we met a lady who offered to take our picture for us, it took her like six tries to get two (kinda backlit) pictures but we thought it was nice to have one of us together.
We got a lot of strange looks for wearing fancy dresses on the beach but we were having fun so who cares what a bunch of fishermen and beach walkers think.
(We would like to thank you all for taking the time to look at our pictures and kindly ignoring our terrible tan lines.)

  1. Annie, I love your pictures with Isabel and those pretty dresses. So, that's what you call them - "gifs". I can't wait to learn how to make them myself. Warmest regards to Isabel and Happy Birthday again. xoxo

    1. Thanks Melissa, I'm glad you like them! The website we used was gifmaker.me, you just take a series of pictures and upload them to the website and it strings them together for you. Love you!
